The Fierce Beauty – A Tiger’s Tale
In the lush forest enclosure, Raja, a Bengal tiger, prowls gracefully, his orange coat and dark stripes blending seamlessly with the foliage. Raja was rescued as a cub from poachers and has grown into a powerful and confident predator under the zoo’s care.
Raja’s favorite activity is exploring his habitat, which includes a flowing stream and plenty of climbing opportunities. He’s particularly fond of the enrichment toys provided by his keepers, such as large balls and puzzle feeders. On warm days, Raja can often be seen cooling off in the water, playfully splashing or silently observing his surroundings.
What makes Raja’s story compelling is his role as an ambassador for his species. Bengal tigers are critically endangered, with fewer than 4,000 left in the wild. Through Raja’s captivating presence, the zoo raises awareness about the challenges these majestic cats face, from habitat destruction to illegal hunting. Visitors leave inspired, carrying with them the message of conservation and hope for Raja’s kind.
